Introducing our reindeer
 

After fifteen years working with Swedish reindeer farmers - known as Samis - we bought back our first herd from Northern Sweden and Norway, to allow them to adjust to our more temperate climate. Twelve months later, the herd had settled in well and we were able to breed them. Now we have the largest privately-owned reindeer herd in the country.

We are very proud of our success. In our fields, the deer have more than adequate grazing and are cared for every day by trained handlers. They receive regular veterinary checks to ensure they are in first class health, and regular meetings are held with our Swedish vets to compare notes.

We even have written papers regarding the husbandry and management of UK deer that are now on record at Stockholm University. Frequent journeys are made back to Sweden and Norway to work and socialise with our Sami friends.
